The Setting of Our Affections

There is more to the Christian life than making a profession of faith – which many seem to rely on for their bona fide claim to possess faith in Christ. A profession is good – and should be made by every believer, but the “receipts” of that faith go much further than just a claim to possess it. By “receipts” we speak of those internal attitudes and actions that reveal themselves externally in the practice of our lives. Paul talks about this in our text today. “The Setting of Our Affections” is taken from Colossians 3:1-4.
