On this Palm Sunday I want us to consider a truth that can easily be overlooked by us in our spiritual journey. In terms of Christ’s resurrection, it is the central truth of God’s plan in saving us. Apart from the truth that Christ conquered the ultimate penalty for sin (death), there can be no salvation. Oftentimes, however, our faith in the resurrection of Christ is bifurcated, as it was with Mary and Martha. Meaning that we look at it as either an historical event in the distant past, or as a sacred hope sometime in the future! In either case it is without effect in the present. We’ll talk about that today. “The Resurrection’s Present Effect” is taken from Romans 4:23-25.
