Communion - The Display of God's Grace

Our theme for this month is “Growing in Grace”. We are specifically commanded in Scripture to grow in our understanding of this most important aspect of our Christian life. We’ll be talking about it throughout the month of June. We will begin our consideration of God’s grace today by observing Communion, a memorial service in which we remember Christ’s sacrifice in gaining our salvation. Communion is observed in most churches in 1 of 3 ways:

Closed – only members of the local congregation can participate

Close – those of like faith and practice can participate, and

Open – anyone can participate.

Our church practices Close Communion. So if you’ve received Christ as Savior and are walking in obedience to Him – we invite you to participate. “Communion – the Display of God’s Grace” is taken from I Corinthians 11:23-26.
