The Giving Heart

Pastors are often accused of talking endlessly about money. The implication being that the driving force of a church’s ministry, or of a Pastor’s job, is to drain as many people of as much money as possible, for personal gain. Granted, there are ministers who do that sort of thing. The Bible warns us about them, as it condemns such activity! But the bible does speak a lot about the connection between money and our spiritual life. Over half of the parables Christ gave in the gospels, deal specifically with the stewardship of material possessions! It’s a very important subject for us – spiritually! Today we’re going to look at what God says about giving, and our attitude in it. Jesus is over our finances! “The Giving Heart” is taken from II Corinthians 9:6-15.
