How to Shake Things Up in the Church

What part does prayer play in the advancement of the gospel? If we seem to be doing okay in our life and ministry – is it really necessary to pray all that much? Many of God’s people only see the necessity of prayer when they are in trouble, or as a last resort when they can’t figure things out on their own. Is a church, given to prayer, more effective than one that isn’t? The early church would certainly teach us so. We’ll look today at one example of the power of prayer in the life of the early church and what we can learn about prayer’s role in our own. “How to Shake Things Up in the Church” is taken from Acts 4:31.
