While You're Waiting

In our memory verses for this month (I John 2:15-17), the Apostle John mentions “the world” 6 different times. As we’ve learned over these weeks, he is not speaking of the physical world, but rather, of the system it operates by! Systems are very hard things to overcome – in spite of our righteous indignation toward its attitudes, or how offensive its behavior is to us. And yet, our commission demands that we live in it – minister to it – and overcome its powerful influence in our own lives. That’s the dilemma we face in our Christian life – and that’s the subject of the message today. “While You’re Waiting” is taken from Titus 2:11-15.
