Have you ever considered the message of the gospel in terms of what we are asked to believe? It’s relatively easy to believe that Jesus loves us – because most of us see that as something easy to do! It’s very appealing to declare that our sins will be forgiven – since we desire them to be anyway! But the more difficult requirement is believing “from the heart that God has raised Him from the dead.” (Ephesians 2:9)! We must believe that to be saved! We cannot come to that belief apart from the Word and the Spirit of God. We’ll talk about why we should believe that in today’s message. “If Christ Be Not Risen” is taken from I Corinthians 15.
