The Old Testament Scriptures have a primary focus on the nation of Israel – its founding and growth as well as highlighting the events that led to the fulfillment of God’s promise of a Redeemer. The New Testament focus is upon the church – both universal and local. Acts through Revelation is about its founding and growth as well as it’s commission and doctrinal instructions in proclaiming the gospel to a lost world.
